Eighth Grade Literature

Date:  May 19-23

  • MONDAY:  We will continue to follow the Our Town syllabus.  DEATH, Act III, pages 79-90.  We began this in class on  Friday and will continue to discuss it today.  NOTE:  "Blessed Be the Tie That Binds."  It is important to understand what this means to the play.  Follow syllabus, read pages 90-end for tomorrow.  Act II and III sentences are due on May 22.  Our Town final on Thursday, too.
  • TUESDAY:  Discuss play in terms of characters and theme.
  • WEDNESDAY:  End of play discussion - preparation for final tomorrow.  Remember:  all the rest of the vocabulary sentences are due tomorrow.
  • THURSDAY:  Our Town final today.  Be prepared!  Hand in vocabulary sentences today for Act II and III.  Field Day tomorrow - yippee!
  • FRIDAY:    FIELD DAY TODAY!  HOORAY!    Have a super Memorial Day weekend!  :-)
