This year we started our Annual Coat of Many Colors Drive a bit earlier and it ran until early January. We are so proud to announce that our school and church community collected over 230 coats! What a wonderful way to come together and support Catholic Charities in the Archdiocese of Washington.
This kind of service project would not be possible without the leadership of Magda Alarcon and Devona Glidewell, along with the help of Mrs. Jill Gadwood, Mrs. Merlene Brodie, Mrs. Loveleenrai Grewal and Mrs. Elizabeth Maloney. Thanks to our students who wrote letters that were put in the coat pockets. Thanks to Msgr. Filardi for supporting the coat drive with a bin in church, and to the OLOL maintenance crew who are always available to lend a helping hand to move heavy bins of coats. Special thanks to Hilton Hotels Headquarters in McLean, VA who allowed us to place bins in their facilities. Special thanks to Express Dry Cleaning, who graciously donated their dry cleaning services to ensure the coats were clean for their new owners.
