What is it that keeps us from practicing true inclusion in our Catholic schools? Let’s sit down and address those obstacles. By coming together we can allay some fears, provide some tools, create a support system for our teachers and administrators, and inspire one another to pursue “ordinary” acceptance of all children in our school communities.Join us at our First Annual Inclusion Symposium, Changing Minds - Changing Lives.
Join us for two days to experience first hand the beauty of inclusion in Catholic elementary school.
Network with other educators and parents who are interested in and invested in opening the doors of Catholic schools wide, so that all might be welcomed.
Visit classrooms where children with special needs and children with learning differences
are fully included.
Share ideas with teachers, administrators and Archdiocesan experts in the areas of inclusion and special education.
Attendance will be limited to 50 participants to allow for complete access for all participants.

“…our communities are still struggling to practice a true inclusion, full participation that finally becomes ordinary, normal. And this requires not only technical and specific programs, but first of all recognition and acceptance of faces, tenacious and patient confidence that each person is unique and unrepeatable…” (Pope Francis, June 11, 2016)

About Us
Lourdes is an inclusive school. The school community is enriched by the presence of students with many different learning styles and widely varying abilities. Four resource teachers and an enrichment teacher provide teachers and students with the support necessary to make our program accessible and challenging for all students. Our Catholic faith, and the belief that we find the Face of God in everyone we meet provides the foundation for all teaching at Our Lady of Lourdes School. Parents, teachers and administrators work together to provide the students of Lourdes with a rich academic, social and spiritual experience.
A challenging academic program prepares all students for admission to Catholic, private and public high schools. All students who applied to Catholic high schools in 2016 were accepted to at least one Catholic high school, and they received over $250,000 in tuition assistance.
In a fast-paced world that pushes children to grow up too fast, Our Lady of Lourdes School faculty and administrators are determined to allow our students to remain children as long as they are in our care. We have an extensive program of service that involves students at all grade levels, and we recognize that every single person deserves to be treated with great kindness and care.
