Volunteer Requirements / Child Protection Program

Faith  *  Excellence  *  Service

Child Protection Program

All parents, grandparents or relatives wishing to volunteer for any school sponsored activity must complete the requirements of the Child Protection Program from Archdiocese of Washington prior to participation.

Please read through the steps below and download the volunteer application (needed new volunteer parents) and other information and forms you will need to take with you to be fingerprinted.
Please keep in mind that fingerprinting done for other jobs will not satisfy the Archdiocesan fingerprint requirement.  Follow the instructions below to be in compliance with all Child Protection Program requirements.

FOR CURRENT FAMILIES WHO HAVE COMPLETED THE CHILD PROTECTION PROGRAM AFTER 2013:

**PLEASE NOTE**
The Child Protection Program requirements have changed effective July 1, 2019.  All current volunteers will need to be fingerprinted by January 1, 2020 in order to continue to volunteer at OLOL school activities.  Please read through the instructions and requirements below.  All current parents and family members who have completed the Child Protection Program are still able to volunteer through December 2019, but will need to complete the Background Check portion below in order to continue to volunteer in 2020.  You will need to download, complete, and take with you the MD fingerprint application. Make an appointment for fingerprinting at one of the government or private providers and make sure to give Sheri Golden a copy of your receipt.  Fingerprinting will cost approximately $40-$60.

IMPORTANT: Please get a receipt from the fingerprint appointment and turn that in to Sheri Golden.  This will help Mrs. Golden verify with Child Protection that you have completed the fingerprint screening.
